Gia Chacón is a human rights advocate, writer, and the founder of For the Martyrs, a leading voice advocating for persecuted Christians around the world. Her work has taken her across the Middle East and other hotspots of religious persecution, where she has met with survivors, supported vulnerable communities, and documented the realities faced by Christians targeted for their faith. Her leadership propelled March for the Martyrs into a national movement, mobilizing Americans to stand in solidarity with the suffering Church and elevating the stories of modern-day martyrs.
On the ground, her projects have ranged from supporting families rebuilding after ISIS, to coordinating aid for displaced Christian communities, to facilitating interfaith outreach and youth programs that promote dignity and resilience.
