Colby is the founder of The Good Word and lead pastor of Bloom Church in Portland, Oregon. He's also the founder of Academy of the Bible — a global online platform that connects everyday Christians with teachers committed to biblical literacy and formation.
His teaching reaches more than four million people across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok, with a focus on identity, purpose, and the daily practice of faith — what it actually looks like on a Tuesday afternoon. He holds an MA in New Testament Studies and a BA in Theology and Biblical Languages from Andrews University, and writes the pastoral voice of the app.
